Leeds United winger Jack Clarke feels the players have the confidence of head coach Marcelo Bielsa to express themselves on the pitch.

The Whites are at the top of the table heading to the final game of the first half of the season, and have been widely regarded as the most exciting side to watch in the Championship so far.

Clarke is yet to start a game for Leeds United this season, but has been used as an impact substitute in recent games.

Bielsa has introduced a fast-paced style at Leeds this season and the attackers have benefitted from the fluid style, although teams have become more cautious against the Whites in recent weeks.

Clarke has admitted that the players try to express themselves on the pitch because they have the confidence of the manager.

“When you’ve got the confidence of the manager it just feels just anything you try doing, even it doesn’t come off, you are not going to get shouted at by the rest of the players.

“You just feel the confidence while playing and try doing the things that you want to do”, Clarke told LUTV.

Clarke will hope to get his first start in the league when Leeds travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa on Sunday.
