Leeds United linked winger Rajiv van La Parra will undergo a medical in the next 24 hours ahead of his loan move to Middlesbrough, according to Sky Sports News.

The Dutchman has been a bit part player at Huddersfield this season and has not played a single minute of Premier League football since October.

The winger is set to leave the Terriers in the January transfer window and has attracted interest from a few clubs in the second tier of English football this winter.

Leeds are said to be interested in the 27-year-old, but it has been claimed that Middlesbrough are close to clinching a deal to sign him in the winter window.

The winger will undergo a medical in the next 24 hours ahead of a move to the Riverside Stadium in the January transfer window.

Middlesbrough are hoping to finalise the deal in the coming hours and get the move over the line in time to name him in the squad for their clash against Derby County on 1st January.

It is likely to be a loan deal with Boro reserving an option to make the move permanent in the summer.

Van La Parra was a key part of the Huddersfield squad that earned promotion from the Championship.
