Eddie Gray believes Leeds United should not expect a straightforward game against an in-form Hull City side at Elland Road this afternoon.

Leeds are going into the game on the back of a seven-game winning run and are riding high on confidence after climbing to the top of the Championship table.

The Yorkshire giants are favourites to beat Hull at home, but the Tigers have not lost in their last six games and are themselves on a three-game winning run.

After a poor start to their season, they have climbed up to 15th in the league table and Gray has insisted that Leeds should expect a tough test against the Tigers today at home.

He is still backing Leeds to get the win, but he does not expect it to be straightforward and believes the Hull fans will also back their team’s chances of pulling off a shock result against the league leaders.

The former midfielder said on LUTV: “I think it will be a tough game.

“They are tough and I think they will give us a real test and I’ll be expecting a real test.

“I think we’ll win the game but I don’t think it is a foregone conclusion.

"They can score goals, they have got some decent players in their side and basically, it is still a local derby.

“They’ll bring a few fans here and they’ll be expecting a victory because of the way their team are playing.

“They are climbing up the table slowly and they were in a bad position before the run.”

Leeds pulled off a narrow 1-0 victory when they faced Hull away from home earlier in the season.
