Lazio have joined the transfer chase for Chelsea outcast Lucas Piazon, who wants to leave the club in the winter transfer window.

Piazon joined Chelsea from Sao Paulo in 2012, but has made just three senior appearances for the club and has had loan spells at Malaga, Vitesse, Eintracht Frankfurt, Reading and Fulham.

He is out of contract at the end of the season and has reportedly told Chelsea that he wants to leave the club on a permanent transfer during the January transfer window.

The Brazilian does not want another loan deal and has attracted interest from Serie A outfit Torino this winter.

But there is more Italian interest in the player, as according to Italian daily Tuttosport, even Lazio are considering signing him from Chelsea in January.

He has not been part of Maurizio Sarri’s plans this season and has played just two games for the Chelsea Under-23s this year.

But that has not stopped Lazio and Torino from showing an interest and Chelsea are expected to receive bids for him next month.

Piazon does not want to wait until the summer to leave on a free transfer and wants his future to be resolved in January.
