Eddie Gray is delighted with the battling qualities Leeds United have shown this season to come back into games.

Leeds are at the top of the Championship table on 51 points and are currently on a seven-game winning run, which has allowed them to build a big distance between themselves and teams outside the top six.

Late goals and comeback wins have been a feature of their recent form and they have suffered the least amount of losses in the league this season, with only three defeats.

Gray believes it is an outstanding achievement to lose such a small amount of games, in a volatile league such as the Championship.

The Leeds legend also highlighted the qualities the Leeds players have shown this season to come back from difficult positions and win crucial points.

The former midfielder said on LUTV: “When you look at the league, the most significant thing is that we have lost only three games out of 24.

“That’s tremendous in this league.

“They have got the battling quality now, the spirit, the desire and the belief that they can win games, even from positions that look impossible.”

Leeds will host Hull City at Elland Road today before travelling to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
