Nice are prepared to terminate Mario Balotelli’s contract this month if the striker, who has been linked with Newcastle United can find a club during the transfer window.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City striker had a fine first campaign at the French club, but his form has tailed off this season.

The striker is yet to find a goal this term and his relationship with the coaching staff has deteriorated, and he is looking to find a way out of the club in the winter window.

With Balotelli unlikely to sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 club, Nice have also come to a decision and it has been claimed that they are prepared to offload him.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Nice are ready to terminate his contract as soon as Balotelli manages to find a club in the winter transfer window.

Marseille are interested in signing the player and Nice are expecting Balotelli’s representatives to ask for a move away from the club in the coming days.
