West Ham United midfielder Grady Diangana has revealed that he wants to establish himself so that the fans have a certain image of him when they read his name.

Diangana made an impact in West Ham’s 8-0 thrashing of Macclesfield in the third round of the EFL Cup last year with two goals, and has managed to make consistent appearances off the bench in the Premier League for the Hammers.

The 20-year-old is yet to score for West Ham in the league this season, but has been used as an impact substitute to add more pace and energy to the attack in recent games.

Diangana has said that he wants to develop new habits in training that will help him bring more success and eventually become a household name in the league.

“I just want to keep going. I am enjoying it”, Diangana told the club’s official website.

“I want to establish myself more so that, when people hear or read my name, they have a certain image of me. I want to become that player.

“In training, I’ll work hard to develop new good habits which will hopefully bring me a lot of success at any club.”

Manuel Pellegrini has had to use some of the younger players because of injuries to his key players, but Diangana has managed to stay in contention and might play an important role in the second half of the season.
