Felipe Anderson has hailed West Ham talent Declan Rice for his unselfish nature after the derby win over Arsenal on Saturday in the Premier League.

Rice netted his first ever goal for the Hammers during the 1-0 win over city rivals Arsenal at the London Stadium in front of a club-record crowd on Saturday.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men returned to the top half of the table with the win and have now scripted impressive victories over both Manchester United and Arsenal at home so far this term.

Anderson, who played the entirety of the win over Arsenal, hailed Rice for his unselfish nature after the youngster emerged as the match-winner at the London Stadium.

The Brazilian also admitted he is happy that Rice finally netted his first goal for the club and reiterated the midfielder is always working tirelessly to make life easier for his team-mates.

"I’m very happy for Declan because he’s a guy who is extremely unselfish”, Anderson told the club’s official website.

“He plays more for his team-mates than for himself, he’s always running, always fighting, and today he scored a beautiful goal that gave us a very important victory so I’m very happy for him and I hope it happens more often."

Rice, who recently signed a long-term extension with West Ham, has quickly established himself as one of the brightest prospects in England this season.
