The Whites are continuing to look to do business in the days remaining in the transfer window and have just agreed a deal with Real Sociedad to sign defender Diego Llorente.

They have been linked with a host of players, including Fiorentina midfielder Pulgar.

Leeds’ interest in Pulgar has been played down, but according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, the Whites do hold strong interest in the player.

Pulgar caught the eye with his performances for Fiorentina over the course of last season.

Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa coached Chile from 2007 until 2011 and is likely to be well informed on Pulgar’s qualities.

It remains to be seen if Leeds will go in with an offer to try to take Pulgar to Elland Road before the transfer window slams shut.

Pulgar clocked 41 appearances for Fiorentina over the course of last term and chipped in with seven goals, finding the back of the net against Napoli, Genoa, AC Milan, Parma and SPAL.
