The Yorkshire-based club have added Robin Koch, Rodrigo and Diego Llorente to their squad in the transfer window and are looking to bring in more players before the window closes.

Marcelo Bielsa is keen to add to his midfield options and Leeds have been linked with Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul and Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi.

AZ Alkmaar skipper Koopmeiners has now emerged as another option to strengthen the Whites’ midfield in the ongoing transfer window.

With the window slamming shut on 5th October, Leeds could have to make their move quickly to land the young Dutchman.

The 22-year-old is predominantly a defensive midfielder, but can also operate in central defence and central midfield.

Koopmeiners rose through the ranks at AZ Alkmaar and has been a regular in the side since moving up to the senior squad in 2017.

The midfielder went on to become the captain of the side at a young age, showcasing his leadership skills.
