A product of the Liverpool academy, the 19-year-old midfielder is considered one of the brightest young prospects at Anfield and has only featured 16 times for the senior team.

He dazzled again on Thursday night when he scored twice in Liverpool’s 7-2 win over Lincoln City in the EFL Cup and grabbed most of the headlines.

Jones is a big prospect for Liverpool and there are clubs who are interested in signing him on loan.

But it has been claimed that the Reds have knocked back any approaches to take the youngster on loan in the ongoing transfer window.

A move away from loan would be likely to hand Jones an increased amount of playing time over the course of the season.

However, Liverpool do not want to farm out the player on loan at the moment and want him to train under Klopp this season.

Jones is believed to be happy to stay at Liverpool for the time being and get opportunities to impress from time to time over the course of the next year.
