The Hammers are in need of cover at right-back after the club confirmed that Ryan Fredericks will be out until after the international break with a hamstring injury.

David Moyes is pushing the West Ham board to bring in defensive reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut next Monday.

Bringing in a right-back is one of the priorities and it has been claimed that the Hammers have an interest Coufal, who is on the books at Slavia Prague.

The 28-year-old has been at Slavia Prague since 2018 and has eight international caps to his name for the Czech Republic.

West Ham are weighing up making an offer to take Coufal to the London Stadium in the final six days of the transfer windows.

The Czech Republic international is a former team-mate of Tomas Soucek, joined West Ham from Slavia Prague in January.

West Ham are also in the market for a centre-back and are believed to be in talks to sign Napoli’s Nikola Maksimovic.
