Manchester United have a number of irons in the fire with regards to bringing in a winger before the window slams shut in a few hours’ time.

They have a deal in place to sign Atalanta’s teenage winger Amad Traore, but he is likely to join in January and Manchester United are also working on a deal to sign 18-year-old Facundo Pellistri from Penarol.

The Premier League giants are also in talks to sign Ismaila Sarr from Watford, but the track leading to Barcelona’s Dembele has not died down yet.

And according to Catalan radio station RAC1, Barcelona are opening up to the possibility of Dembele joining Manchester United on a season-long loan.

Until recently Barcelona were only prepared to sell the winger on a permanent deal while Manchester United are only interested in a loan deal.

But the mood inside the Barcelona camp is changing and the club are now warming up to the idea of a loan move for Dembele.

It would require Manchester United to agree to pay his full wages during his one season at Old Trafford.

With only a few hours left in the window, the two clubs are running out of time to work out an agreement for Dembele’s move to Old Trafford.

But a potential deal is not dead in the water yet.
