Frank Lampard’s side could allow Loftus-Cheek to move away from Stamford Bridge on a loan deal to secure regular first-team playing time.
The England international has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Fulham, who are hopeful of securing his services on a temporary basis.
A final decision is yet to be made regarding Loftus-Cheek’s immediate future, despite just hours remaining before the transfer window slams shut.
However, Fulham are currently the likeliest destination for the 24-year-old should he leave Chelsea on a loan deal.
There have been suggestions that the Blues are ready to pay £100,000 a week to ship Loftus-Cheek out on loan in an attempt to get him playing time.
Such a provision would also suit Fulham, who are also pushing to add to their options before the transfer window closes.
The Cottagers have been linked with a number of centre-backs, including Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo and Sampdoria’s Omar Colley.
