Despite having already signed the likes of Gareth Bale, Sergio Reguilon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Matt Doherty, Tottenham are still looking to bring in a defender before the transfer window closes.

However, the north London club are also willing to see a number of their players head in the other direction as the window nears an end.

One such player Jose Mourinho’s side would be happy to part ways is United States international Carter-Vickers.

The 22-year-old central defender has attracted interest from the Championship, with Bournemouth, Luton Town and Swansea City credited with an interest.

However, neither his suitors nor Tottenham will be in a hurry to get a deal over the line, with EFL clubs having until 16th October to do business.

With significant interest from the Championship, Carter-Vickers’ immediate future could lie in the English second tier.

However, it remains to be seen who will manage to acquire his services from Tottenham.
