Eriksen joined Inter from Tottenham in January this year but has so far struggled to carve out a niche for himself in Italy.

He made just eight appearances in the starting eleven for Inter in the second half of last season and he has continued to struggle to cement a place in Antonio Conte’s team.

Conte was not against the idea of selling the Dane in the summer and it has been suggested that the club could look to offload him in January.

And according to Italian Corriere dello Sport, Eriksen’s departure in January could make way for Inter to again try to sign Kante in the winter transfer window.

The Serie A giants failed with a bid to sign the Frenchman in the summer but Inter are suggested to believe he can be tempted to Italy.

His relationship with Frank Lampard is subject to speculation and it is claimed Kante would be willing to leave.

Inter are prepared to sell Eriksen in January if they receive good offers for him and the proceeds could be redirected towards mission Kante.

The Chelsea star is Conte’s top target and the Inter boss is keen to reunite with the midfielder at Inter.
