The Leeds academy product has made three senior appearances for the club thus far, and one of them came this season in the EFL Cup.

But the 20-year-old is down the pecking order in the Leeds squad in terms of midfield options and the club are keen to send him out on loan.

Marcelo Bielsa has been impressed with his performances in training and for the moment Gotts is unlikely to get many opportunities to play in the first team.

And it seems a loan deal has been agreed and Gotts is set to join Lincoln City on a season-long loan.

Gotts is highly-rated at Leeds, but the club believe that he is best served by playing regular first-team football this season.

The two clubs have worked out an agreement and Lincoln are expected to make the move official soon.

There are suggestions that the loan deal could be revisited in January and Leeds could recall Gotts in the winter if he does not play enough football at Lincoln.
