31-year-old winger Bolasie has entered the final year of his contract with Everton and has no place in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for the season.

The Toffees are keen to move the Congo international on but are yet to find any takers for the player, who spent the last year on loan at Sporting Lisbon.

Championship club Middlesbrough have made an enquiry to snap up Bolasie from Everton before the domestic transfer window slams shut this evening.

However, the two clubs are some way off reaching an agreement over a deal for the former Crystal Palace star.

With time running out in the window, Neil Warnock’s side will have to act quickly if they are to land Bolasie from the Goodison Park outfit.

Warnock is said to be keen on a reunion with Bolasie, having worked with the 31-year-old during his time at Crystal Palace.

However, Middlesbrough face a race against time to get a deal across the line.
