The Scottish Champions suffered a meek defeat to Rangers last Saturday with Steven Gerrard’s side winning 2-0 in the Glasgow derby at Celtic Park.

On the other hand, AC Milan are coming into tonight’s Europa League clash against Celtic on the back of a win over Inter in the Milan derby last weekend.

Romagnoli believes winning the Milan derby is a source of confidence for his side ahead of the European adventure, but feels Celtic could have extra motivation after being beaten by Rangers last Saturday.

He insisted that it is up to the AC Milan players to be hungrier than Celtic to get a result tonight.

Romagnoli told Milan TV: “We will get confidence after Saturday’s victory.

“And they will do everything to overturn their situation given that they lost the derby 2-0.

“It will be up to us to be hungrier than them.”

Romagnoli is also excited to get his taste of playing football at Celtic Park and believes it will be a stern test for his side.

“It is nice to play against an opponent of European level.

“It is nice to go to stadiums like these and it will be a good test for us.”

AC Milan will not have to contend with fierce Celtic support though, with matches still taking place in front of empty stands.
