Newly promoted Premier League side Leeds are set to lock horns with high-flying Aston Villa at Villa Park in a night kick-off on Friday.

The Villans go into the game looking to extend their winning streak in the league to five games in a row, while Marcelo Bielsa’s men visit Birmingham, having lost 1-0 to Wolves last time out.

Despite the visitors being five points behind and having played one game more than Aston Villa, McGinn is aware of the challenge posed by the Elland Road outfit.

The Scot pointed out how playing Leeds tire players and insisted that they are one of the most difficult sides to face this season, but he hopes that Aston Villa can make use of the home advantage.

I think I speak for most Premier League teams when I say that Leeds are one of the most difficult fixtures on the calendar“, McGinn was quoted as saying by Aston Villa’s official site.

You need a couple of days off after you’ve played them, but hopefully they’ll be tired from their game against Wolves.

Villa Park is somewhere we want to make a fortress, and we’ve done that so far this season.

Hopefully we can carry that on this Friday.

Leeds beat Aston Villa 3-2 when they visiting the Birmingham-based club the last time and will be hopeful of a similar result on Friday.
