Jose Mourinho’s side lock horns with Austrian club LASK in the first game of their Europa League group stage campaign tonight.

LASK begin the competition having qualified for it after convincingly beating Dunajska Streda and Sporting Lisbon in the qualifying stages.

LASK boss Thalhammer is delighted that his side has achieved their first goal of progressing to the Europa League group stage and is now looking forward to even tougher challenges.

The Austrian feels playing Tottenham is a real highlight for LASK and is keen for his men to make sure they are brave when they take on the Premier League giants.

We achieved our initial goal and qualified for the group stage of the Europa League with impressive victories“, Thalhammer told LASK’s official site.

Now we’re looking forward to the international games – Tottenham are definitely a highlight.

To play against such a top international team is great.

It will be a huge challenge for us.

“We will go to the limit and have to show a lot of courage.

Apart from LASK and Tottenham, Group J of the Europa League also consists of Bulgarian club Ludogorets and Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
