Other than the two Scottish Premiership matches he missed out due to injury, Jack has played a part in 12 of Rangers’ 14 league games so far this season.
The Scotsman, along with veteran midfielders Steven Davis and Scott Arfield, brings experience and leadership to the Gers midfield, which is also supplemented by youthful flair in the likes of Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara and Ianis Hagi.
And Jack, who is currently enjoying his football at the heart of Steven Gerrard’s midfield, is delighted in being able to share the pitch with top class talents in all areas.
The 28-year-old is confident that the competition for places in the Gers squad will stand his team in good stead going forward this season, as there is a lot of football left to be played in the current campaign.
Asked how much he is enjoying being part of the current midfield at Ibrox, Jack told Rangers TV: “It is a great time for me.
“Obviously in my career and where I am at, playing alongside top players and international players.
“As I touched on before, Davo [Davis] and Scotty [Arfield] have been excellent. Great professionals, obviously they are older.
“Glen’s obviously an internationalist for Finland, who is at the top of his game right now, who has been excellent.
“I think going forward we have got great competition, we have got Joe Aribo as well who was flying at the start of the season, picked up an injury.
“So, there is a lot of competition for places, but as I said that is only going to help us going forward because there is a lot of football to be played and a lot of big games coming up.”
Bongani Zungu, the latest addition to the Rangers midfield, made his debut for the Scottish giants on Sunday in his team’s 8-0 league win over Hamilton Academical.
