The Juventus star scored in Italy’s 4-0 win over Estonia this week, but he has continued to disappoint in club colours this season and has struggled under Andrea Pirlo.

He has started just one game this season for Juventus and there are suggestions that the club are considering letting him go in the January transfer window.

A final decision has not been taken, but Juventus have already identified the player they want if they manage to shift Bernardeschi out in the winter transfer window.

And according to Italian daily Corriere di Torino, the club are keen to sign Chelsea outcast Emerson as a replacement for Bernardeschi.

The former Roma man was on Juventus’ radar in the summer as well and is ready to leave Chelsea after falling out of favour under Frank Lampard.

He could welcome an opportunity to return to Italy and is keen to escape Chelsea, where he has not played a single minute of Premier League football this season.

Chelsea are prepared to let him go if they receive an acceptable offer and are looking to shift him out in January.

But Juventus will face competition from Inter, who have also been keeping an eye on Emerson since the summer.
