Emerson wanted to leave Chelsea in the recent window, but could not engineer a move away from the club and stayed put at Stamford Bridge.
He has continued to remain on the periphery of Lampard’s plans at Chelsea and the Italian is keen to move on if his situation does not change soon.
Inter and Juventus are both potential destinations for Emerson, though Napoli are the side putting in the most legwork on a deal at the moment.
But according to Italian daily Tuttosport, Chelsea are still not completely convinced about letting the player leave in the middle of the season.
Emerson has made a Chelsea matchday squad in the Premier League just once this season and his two Champions League appearances came from the bench.
However, that has not completely convinced Chelsea that they need to move him on the in the middle of the season.
The Blues are contemplating what to do if an acceptable proposal arrives as letting Emerson go would hurt Lampard’s squad depth.
Emerson recently revealed that Italy coach Roberto Mancini wants him to play regular football at Chelsea or at another club soon.
