Eriksen has struggled to settle at Inter since leaving Tottenham Hotspur in the last January transfer window and is not one of the players Antonio Conte banks on at the moment.

Inter worked hard to convince Eriksen to move to Italy in January, but the Dane has not suited Conte’s style and there are suggestions that the Serie A giants are open to offers for him.

He has been linked with a move to Arsenal, with Granit Xhaka joining Inter in a potential swap deal, but the links at the moment are tenuous.

The Gunners are in the market for a creative midfielder, but according to Italian outlet FcInterNews.it, Eriksen is not their top target at the moment.

They failed with an attempt to sign Houssem Aouar in the window and the Frenchman continues to remain a target for the club.

Eriksen is also down the pecking order compared to Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai, who has a €25m release clause in his contract.

The Dane is on Arsenal’s radar but he is the third choice target for Mikel Arteta in the creative midfielder’s role.

Eriksen’s past with Tottenham also makes it a complicated deal to pull off as the player might not want to play for his former side’s local rivals.
