Bamford has spearheaded Leeds’ attacking line this season with the 27-year-old finding the back of the net seven times in the Yorkshire giants’ eight league outings.

The Leeds star has been on the scoresheet in all but three of Leeds’ top flight games so far in the current campaign and is determined to continue his stunning form on the pitch.

Bamford insists he has continued his goalscoring exploits since the current season kicked off to the past and is determined to focus on the future as Bielsa has instilled him in an insatiable hunger to not rest on his laurels and keep pushing by expanding his targets.

The Argentine has been able to cultivate a mentality in the Leeds camp that encourages the whole team to be on the quest to constantly find ways to improve their game, Bamford feels.

“Working under him, there is no room to stand still and plateau”, Bamford told The Athletic.

“You’ve got to always be pushing yourself to reach the next level.

“So, the fact that I’ve scored seven goals now, to him and to me it’s great, but it’s gone and in the past.

“I’ve got to build and get the next seven.

“I think he’s instilled that mentality in me.”

Leeds are set to host Arsenal at Elland Road on Sunday and Bamford will be keen on providing his team with the fireworks again as the Whites look to bounce back from consecutive losses in the league.
