Following a run of back to back defeats, Leeds kicked back to life on Wednesday night when they produced an emphatic performance at Elland Road to beat Newcastle United 5-2.

It was their first home win since September and helped them to rejuvenate their season after a run of just four points from their previous six games in the Premier League.

Leeds’ recent form brought back questions about their ultra-attacking style, but Alioski stressed that the players never lost faith in the way the Whites want to play football.

He conceded that poor results did affect their mood, but they continued to believe in their process and were confident that results would come if they stick to their beliefs and methods.

Asked if confidence wavered following two defeats, the Leeds star said on LUTV: “No, we like the how we play and we enjoy every game.

“We are sometimes sad, but we try every time to get the maximum out of the games.

“Sometimes the results are not what we want but if we lost, like the last couple of games, we go for the next.

“We have belief in us, we know how strong we are like a team and the success is going to come.”

Leeds will be renewing an old rivalry on Sunday when they will travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
