The Hammers are in the midst of a tough run of results in the Premier League, having gone winless in their last four outings.
David Moyes’ men are up against an in-form Everton at Goodison Park on Friday in their upcoming top flight clash, with the Toffees enjoying contrasting fortunes having registered four league wins on the trot.
Fornals however remains confident in his team’s chances in Friday’s clash as he is of the view that if West Ham keep pushing from the back and continue pressing high, they have the quality to take points away from high-flying Everton.
On a personal note, the Spaniard added that he is learning from both the positives and negatives from each passing match, and is focused on helping his team’s attacking department more.
“One year and one day ago I scored my first goal for West Ham [against Leicester City], so that was an incredible day and I think in all the moments I’ve tried to learn from the positive things and the bad things too”, Fornals told West Ham TV.
“I think it’s a good way to work in life.
“I hope I can score at Everton now too. Maybe we can play some more times against Leicester and Liverpool so I can score more goals!
“I’m working hard to improve these things and I try to help a little more in attacking for us.
“I am completely sure that if we work as we know at Everton, keep pushing from the back and press high, we are a difficult team to beat.
“We have to play like this, try to play in this way and I think that’s the way to get points.”
West Ham will be keen on redeeming themselves with a win against Everton on Friday as their EFL Cup meeting earlier in the current campaign ended 4-1 in the Toffees’ favour.
