Olsen arrived at Everton on a season-long loan from Roma in the last transfer window and has impressed Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti by making the most of the opportunities that have came his way so far this season.

The Merseyside giants are eyeing permanently swooping for the Roma loanee in the ongoing transfer window as he is deemed surplus to requirements at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, Roma have been keeping tabs closely on another player in Everton colours as Giallorossi coach Paulo Fonseca is keen on snapping up Toffees star Bernard this month, and it has been claimed he has already talked to the winger’s agent.

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, the Serie giants are eyeing roping in Bernard in exchange for Olsen, with the shot-stopper joining Everton permanently in a swap deal.

As Bernard’s asking price is higher than Olsen’s value, Roma could pay an extra payment to push through the deal.

Bernard has played a bit part role under Ancelotti in the current campaign and has only started two of Everton’s 16 Premier League games so far this season.

Olsen’s current stint at Roma runs through until the summer of 2023, and although Ancelotti has preferred Jordan Pickford ahead of the Roma loanee, he has clocked up minutes twice in the Premier League so far this season.
