The Whites are coming into the game on the back of a disappointing FA Cup third-round defeat to Crawley Town last weekend.

While their recent form has been patchy, Leeds have won their last two league games at home and will be hoping to build on that against Brighton at Elland Road.

Cooper is expecting a tough game against Brighton and believes they are quality attacking side who will have a go at Leeds on Saturday rather than look to sit back and defend.

He believes Brighton’s positive approach will suit Leeds and it should turn out to be a good game.

Cooper is also looking forward to coming up against his former centre-back partner Ben White this weekend.

The defender said on LUTV: “[Brighton are] a very big threat.

“They have got a lot of good attacking players and they are just a good team as they try and play.

“They will bring the game to us and I think that will suit us.

“We are looking forward to it and also looking forward to seeing Ben again, it will be nice to see him.

“All we want to do is just win the game.”

Brighton are coming into the game on the back of a 1-0 away defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Wednesday night.
