Marseille have zeroed in on the midfielder, who wants to make the move to the Stade Velodrome, and have been holding talks with Celtic.
They have now reached an agreement, according to French radio station RMC, and Ntcham will be put through his medical paces in the coming hours; he is expected to arrive in Marseille soon.
The midfielder will join Marseille on a season-long loan deal, with the French side being able to buy him at the end of the period; the option is claimed to be set at €6m.
Ntcham has been keen to leave Celtic and move on to pastures new and is now set to get his wish with a switch to Marseille.
He has made a total of 147 appearances for Celtic, across all competitions, during his stint at Celtic Park.
Ntcham will now be looking to kick on at Marseille and make an impact in Ligue 1 at the Stade Velodrome.
Marseille, under Andre Villas-Boas, currently sit in ninth spot in the Ligue 1 standings.
