Leeds’ inconsistent form at home continued on Wednesday night when they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Everton on their own Elland Road turf.
They came into the game on the back of two good away wins, but they dropped their guard at home and suffered a poor result against Everton, who they did beat at Goodison Park earlier in the season.
Leeds are eleventh in the Premier League standings at the moment, but Cundy is not a big fan of the Whites and the hype surrounding them this season.
He believes Leeds are getting too much praise and while their forward play is good to look at, their performance at the back remains poor and they displayed amateurish defending for the first goal they conceded against Everton.
Cundy said on talkSPORT: “They are just a funny side, Leeds.
“They will give you opportunities. You wouldn’t have Leeds on your coupon.
“I think they get too much praise, I do.
“When they go forward, it is what you want to see, you want to see teams attack.
“But when you see them defend, certainly the first goal, it’s like pub league.”
Leeds have won two and lost three of their last five games at Elland Road in the Premier League.
