The 24-year-old is currently plying his trade at Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig on a season-long loan from Premier League giants Manchester City.

 

Angelino extended his loan contract in Germany for another season at the beginning of the current campaign after joining on an initial six-month deal in January 2020.

 

 

The left-back is enjoying his football at the Red Bull Arena and has expressed his desire to join Die Roten Bullen on a permanent basis.

 

RB Leipzig have an obligation to buy Angelino in his contract contingent on certain conditions.

 

 

And according to German magazine Sport Bild, the purchase obligation in the defender’s contract will be triggered if he plays against Augsburg on Friday in the Bundesliga.

The left-back has started all but one of RB Leipzig’s 20 Bundesliga games so far this season and is playing a key role in his team’s quest to dethrone reigning league champions Bayern Munich.
