White made his first League One start for Portsmouth, who he joined on loan until the end of the season last month, against Oxford United on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old midfielder marked the occasion by finding the back of the net early in the second half, helping Pompey to a narrow 1-0 win over the Yellows.
Having scored his first senior goal in only the second start of his senior career, White has revealed that he is over the moon to have found the back of the net, as well as help the team secure a win.
The Spurs loanee explained that scoring in a league game is a dream come true for him before admitting that he did not initially realise he had scored when he headed the ball towards goal.
“I’m over the moon to get the three points, as well as score my first senior goal in my first league start“, White told iFollow Pompey.
“I’ve been working hard for this since the age of six, so it really is a dream come true.
“It’s an amazing feeling.
“To be honest, I didn’t see the ball hit the back of the net.
“It came across, I headed it and got a little push.
“I thought it must have gone in, so I celebrated.
“All the lads came over with me and that made it special.“
Having marked his full debut for Portsmouth with a goal, White will be looking to build on it and help the side earn promotion this season.
