Kean, who is at Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan from Premier League side Everton, has been in fine form for the French Ligue 1 champions.
The Italy international has scored 17 goals from 31 appearances across all competitions for the Parisians so far this term, excelling both as a striker and a winger.
Former PSG goalkeeper Landreau has been impressed with how Kean has executed his role as per the instructions of coach Mauricio Pochettino and admitted that he has been surprised with him.
The Frenchman went on to hail the Everton loan star’s reliability, regardless of his position.
“He is someone who is reliable in what he does“, Landreau told French television channel Canal+.
“When you are a coach with the players around you, and you have a player who respects a position, who respects instructions and who, in addition, is consistent [that is good].
“He is a very nice surprise, that we were not expecting there.“
PSG do not have the option to make Kean’s loan move from Everton permanent, but are said to be keen to negotiate a deal with the Toffees at the end of the season.
