Rangers are just a handful of points away from winning their first league title in over a decade and ending Celtic’s dream of winning ten-in-a-row.

The Gers have looked comfortable and have been chalking off wins with ease as they close in on the title and are now a couple of wins away from sealing the deal.

Rangers have not allowed the pressure of expectations to affect their performances thus far and Rough insisted that the confidence with which the Gers have played has made all the difference.

He stressed that Rangers believe that they can win even if they are struggling and they are now in the habit of winning games, whatever the scoreline.

Asked about Rangers’ march to the title, Rough said on PLZ Soccer: “It’s the old thing in football when you have got confidence when you are winning every week, you just get into ways.

“Even when you go into a game, and you are struggling, you know at the end of the day you have got players who can turn it very quickly.

“It’s just confidence and it’s the same when you are bottom of the league and you are not winning games and that sort of beds in as well and becomes a habit.

“The winning habit is what Rangers have got just now and the players are going into games, taking each game as it comes and generally they are winning.

“Whether it’s 1-0 or 2-0, they have been convincing.”

Rangers are in action this evening when they take on Livingston in the Scottish Premiership.
