Rangers conceded early at the Sinobo Stadium, but Filip Helander got them back on level terms before half time and they managed to hold on to the result until the end of the game.

With their strong record at Ibrox this season, Rangers are now slight favourites to beat the Czech Republic side and progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Adam believes Rangers should be delighted with the result as they did not play particularly well in Prague on Thursday night.

The former Scotland midfielder is only expecting Rangers to play better football in the second leg and he fancies the Gers’ chances of getting the better of Prague over two legs now.

Adam said on BBC Sportsound after the game: “Rangers haven’t played well but they’ve dug out another European result, they can be happy with that at least.

“We know Rangers can play a lot better and they will.

“They’ve got no game this weekend, a week to prepare and you fancy Rangers at Ibrox.”

With the league title sewn up, Rangers are now likely to focus their efforts on progressing as far in the Europa League as possible.
