Leeds have had mixed results so far this season when they have come up against big names opponents in the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal, with some tightly contested draws and defeats.

The Whites are yet to register a win over a traditional top six side but Leeds legend Dorigo believes it can happen during the remainder of the season.

Dorigo has insisted Leeds have the quality to produce goals and wins out of nothing, but stressed they need to avoid small lapses of concentration when going up against top quality opponents.

The ex-White star explained that Leeds are currently in a comfortable position in the league and will now be able to take on a top six opponent without additional pressure.

Asked whether he is confident Leeds can register a win over a traditional top side in the Premier League, Dorigo told LUTV: “I am because what I saw from our side is that sometimes you are not 100 per cent, you cannot play your best all the time.

“But there are moments in a game where you just have to grind it out and sometimes our bad moments have been quite bad.

“We do not want that.

“We want a certain level but then we know that we can do the better stuff.

“We know we have got the ability to score.

“We know we can produce something out of nothing, we have those players to do that.

“But when you are up against some very, very good sides a lack of concentration, you are going to get punished and that is what we I think have learned throughout the season.

“And now we are coming into a nice period of the season where I think we are comfortable, we are looking good, we are looking to Premier League next season and we have got some big games coming up thinking okay let us see whether we can turn one of them over.

“So, I think it could happen, absolutely.”

Before Leeds go up against a big name top flight team, they will have to take care of business against relegation threatened Fulham at Craven Cottage tonight.
