Tottenham were knocked out of the Europa League in a humiliating fashion on Thursday night after they lost 3-0 to Croatian outfit Dinamo Zagreb.
Their hopes of playing Champions League football next season are now hinging on them breaking into the Premier League’s top four, which also seems unlikely at the moment given their form.
Robson stressed that Mourinho should count himself lucky that he is not feeling the ire of the Tottenham fans inside the stadium due to the current situation.
He insisted that Tottenham fans are tired of the football their side have been playing all season and they are not happy with what Mourinho has done to their team.
The former Gunner said on ESPN FC: “The luckiest thing for Mourinho at the moment is that there isn’t a crowd at White Hart Lane.
“The crowd won’t put up with the sort of football they have been playing.
“I know a lot of Spurs supporters and they are so unhappy with the way their team have been playing even when they win games.
“They hate the way they are playing, they hate the style of football and they don’t really like the manager at the moment.
“And so there is only going to be one end to it.”
Tottenham are in desperate need of points in the league ahead of travelling to Aston Villa on Sunday night.
