Ryan Lowe’s side put an end to their five-game losing streak in League One with a 2-0 victory over Joey Barton’s Bristol Rovers at the weekend.
Winter arrival Ennis found the back of the net twice for Plymouth, with Liverpool loan star Lewis providing the assist on both occasions.
Reflecting on his goals, Ennis has explained that he knows how to position himself in the box when Lewis gets up the pitch with the ball, having played with him for England Under-17s and Under-19s.
The goalscorer revealed that he just had to get inside the box as he knows the full-back will look for players in the box when he has the ball in an advanced position.
“Obviously, I know Adam from England“, Ennis told iFollow Argyle.
“I just know that when he gets up he will look for players in the box, so I just had to make sure I was there and luckily enough I was.
“I needed to get a few goals today.“
Lewis has scored one goal and provided two assists for the Pilgrims from his 15 League One appearances for them so far.
