The 30-year-old has linked up with the Poland national team for their World Cup qualifiers against Hungary, Andorra and England, which begin this week.

Former Leicester City manager Sousa, who replaced Brzeczek as the Eagles’ boss in January, is set to manage the team for the first time against Hungary on Thursday.

While Leeds star Klich expects the Portuguese to possibly make tweaks to the team, he believes his role in the side will remain the same.

The Whites midfielder explained that all coaches treat number 8s as the same and thinks only the nature of the match they are playing will change the nature of his position.

In my position, it is rather similar for all coaches“, Klich told Polish outlet Sportowe Fakty.

My role will be similar, that is playing in number 8 position and combining attack with defence.

Although we will see, maybe the team’s game will change.

A lot will depend on the match.

If we start an attack-minded game, I’ll be running ahead more.

If we bet on the defence, I will not be taking any chances.

With the European Championship coming up, Klich will be looking to make a good impression on Sousa during the forthcoming matches.
