Moore took over the reins at Sheffield Wednesday at the start of this month, with his immediate challenge to steady the ship at Hillsborough with the club locked in a relegation battle.
The Owls, currently 23rd in the league, added three huge points to their bid for survival at the weekend as they beat an in-form Barnsley side 2-1 at Oakwell.
Saturday’s win ended Sheffield Wednesday’s eight-game winless run in the Championship and midfielder Windass revealed that the result came on the back of the whole squad buying into their new boss’ approach.
With nine games remaining in the campaign, Windass vowed that the Owls are prepared to fight until the end for their survival and stressed he is confident his team can avoid dropping down to League One.
“Since the manager has come in, he has introduced a new style and he altered it a bit for this game [against Barnsley] based on the opposition and how they have been playing”, Windass told Sheffield Wednesday’s official site.
“There is a confidence and the players are all buying in to it.
“We have a lot of heart; a lot of talent and we need to show that on a regular basis in these last nine games and make people proud.
“We will keep fighting to the end, we believe we can do it.”
With a first league win under his belt at Sheffield Wednesday, Moore will be determined to lead his team to build on Saturday’s success and claw themselves back up to safety.
