After joining Norwich on loan from Tottenham in the summer of 2020, the defensive midfielder has featured prolifically for the Canaries in the Championship, racking up 38 appearances this season.
Sitting top of the Championship table with an eight-point lead over second placed Watford, Norwich are favourites to win the league this season and secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Skipp feels that things have worked out well for him this season as he feels that the Championship is hugely competitive and playing week in, week out in such an environment has helped him.
“For me personally this season has been brilliant”, the Tottenham loan star told the Evening Standard.
“Playing regular football in the Championship, albeit it’s not the Premier League, but you can see how competitive the Championship is
“This season has been good just to get regular men’s football, to build up that strength to just play those games regularly
“You’ve just got to look forward and keep pushing and then the rest will take care of itself, really.
“There’s no point in looking too far ahead.
“Just look towards these games and then finish off the rest of the season strongly and that’s what I’ll be looking to do.”
Skipp will look to aid Norwich as they inch closer to claiming the league title with just eight games left to play in the Championship this season.
