Rangers thrashed Scottish League One side Cove Rangers 4-0 in the Scottish Cup at Ibrox on Sunday night, taking on more step towards a domestic double.

Midfielder Kamara played the full 90 minutes for Scottish Premiership champions in the cup tie and put in an outstanding display, according to Rangers legend Hateley.

The 59-year-old feels that Kamara was on top his game on Sunday, bossing midfield with an elegance that is not generally associated with his more physical style of play.

Hateley lauded Kamara for taking care of business while making it look so easy, maintaining his composure throughout the game.

Asked what is his take on Kamara’s performance in the middle of the park, Hateley said on Ten10 Podcasts: “Kamara looked like a Rolls-Royce didn’t he?

“Honestly, never looked flustered.

“He was elegant, something that you do not really say because he is all arms and legs, but [Sunday night] he was just strolling through the game.

“It is the opposition; you can only play what is in front of you, but he made it look so easy on [Sunday night].”

With their victory over the Toonsers, Rangers have now booked a clash against Celtic in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup, with the game pencilled in for 17th April.
