Abraham has struggled to secure playing time under Thomas Tuchel in recent weeks and was again overlooked during Chelsea’s 4-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The hitman was an unused substitute against the Eagles and Cundy thinks that he could now be facing a stiff task when it comes to playing regularly.

He feels that Tuchel considers Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud and Kai Havertz as ahead of Abraham, which is a problem for the English striker.

“The problem Tammy has got is that Tuchel has another option up front with Havertz”, Cundy said after the match on Chelsea TV.

“Where before we felt he was first choice, maybe second with Werner, now he’s behind Werner, he’s behind Giroud, and now he looks like he’s going to be behind Havertz as well.”

So far this season Abraham has clocked 30 appearances over the course of the season for Chelsea, hitting the back of the net on 12 occasions.

The striker could consider his future at Chelsea in the summer if he continues to be out of favour with Tuchel.
