Boro missed out on the opportunity to move into the top half of the Championship table after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of a ten-man QPR on Saturday.

Middlesbrough pulled one back through Everton loan star Bolasie after Robert Dickie and Lee Wallace gave Mark Warburton’s side a two-goal lead, but failed to take advantage of Seny Dieng’s red card in the second half.

While Middlesbrough manager Warnock was left frustrated with his team’s display, he has revealed that he was content with Bolasie’s performance.

The 72-year-old explained that the Everton loan star produced a decent performance, but went on to insist that the winger could have had a hat-trick or at least a brace.

Yannick and [Neeskens] Kebano did alright today [Saturday; ed.]“, Warnock was quoted as saying by Teeside Live.

Yannick should have scored two or three.

Other than that I am disappointed with two or three things at the club.

But that’s why it’s a good job I am the manager.

Bolasie has scored two goals and provided three assists from eleven Championship appearances for Middlesbrough, who he joined on loan from Everton in January.
