Rangers hammered Celtic 4-1 at Ibrox on Sunday and it means the Bhoys are set to finish the season without beating their hated Glasgow rivals even once in five meetings in the ongoing campaign.

Steven Gerrard’s team are a whopping 23 points ahead of Celtic and are now eyeing garnering 100 points in the league and finishing the Scottish Premiership campaign as unbeaten champions.

On the other hand, Celtic are going into a summer of soul-searching, but they are yet to confirm the appointment of a new manager and are looking at a massive overhaul of the squad.

Provan urged McKay to communicate to the fans clearly as he stressed that the Celtic supporters should know in which direction the club are going ahead of next season.

The Celtic legend said on The Go Radio Football Show: “[Massive amount of work to be done] from top to bottom [at Celtic].

“It is time Dominic McKay levelled with the supporters – where is the club going and who is coming in?

“You know Dominic McKay speaks the corporate language, he talks about customers.

“Well, it’s time the customers got a steer on where the business is going next season.”

Celtic are tipped to appoint Eddie Howe as their new manager, but the Bhoys have yet to confirm he will be arriving.
