Celtic are approaching a summer transfer window where they are expected to lose some of their top stars in Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer.

Ryan Christie is also out of contract at the end of the year and may well be on his way to the Premier League with Norwich City and Burnley interested in signing him.

Moravcik conceded that Christie moving to the Premier League would be logical and feels Celtic should accept the situation and take whatever money can earn from him.

He thinks that the role of Celtic and Rangers has been reduced to developing players who will eventually want to play in the Premier League in the future.

The former Bhoy stressed that the two Glasgow giants need to accept that situation and move on.

Moravcik said on the Celtic Huddle Podcast when asked if he expects Christie to leave the club: “Of course, it is absolutely logical.

“As what I said, it is a dream to play in the Premier League and I think he is in a good age now to move.

“If Celtic get some money it is good for them and find some another player who can make the same performances and jump to Premier League again.

“I think that is the role of the Scottish league in football, to prepare their players, especially at Celtic and Rangers, for the English league.

“We have to accept that situation. We are not in the 60s and the 70s, we are in the 21st century.

“We have to accept that the English league is somewhere in a different world.”

Edouard has been linked with a move to Leicester City and Ajer is believed to be a target for Norwich City.
