The 21-year-old has been a key player for Club Brugge this season, scoring 16 goals and providing ten assists from 33 games across all competitions so far.

Lang’s performances have seen Club Brugge make his loan move from Dutch giants Ajax permanent, while the player has also attracted interest from Leeds.

The Netherlands Under-21 international is only enjoying his first season in Belgium, but has already made a significant impact in the view of former Belgium star Defour.

Defour hailed Lang as the best player in the Belgian Pro League this season and revealed that the winger is his pick for the player of the year award.

I think Lang is the best player in the league this season“, Defour told Belgian broadcaster Sporza.

I also voted for him for the Professional Footballer of the Year award.

The former Burnley midfielder’s endorsement of Lang will come as positive news for Leeds, who are said to be interested in acquiring the winger’s services.

However, the Whites are not the only club interested in the Dutchman and are expected to face competition for his signature in the summer.
