The full-back left Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2019 to join Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, where he is currently on the verge of lifting La Liga.

Trippier is set to enter the final year of his deal at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in the summer and the Rojiblancos are keen on tying him down beyond his current stint on fresh terms.

However, Trippier is not keen on staying in Madrid for the long-term, with his heart set on returning to England.

Owing to the success he has had since moving to Spain, Trippier has drawn admiring glances from his home country England in the shape of Manchester United and Everton, while French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in him.

The Red Devils are mulling over roping in a player to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and having considered Trippier in January are believed to be ready rekindle their interest in him in this summer.

The England international has also caught the eye of the Toffees, who are keen on adding more options at right-back when the transfer window swings open ahead of the next season.

It remains to be seen whether interested parties will make any concrete moves for Trippier in the coming months while he remains focused on the task at hand with Atletico Madrid just one win away from Spanish top flight glory.
